Starting with studies in Tokyo in 2010, Joonwon Cho opened his first Yakiniku restaurant in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, in 2012, followed by a second location in 2013. After returning to Korea in 2014, Joowon opened Motoishi, a Japanese-style Yakiniku restaurant in Gyeongsangnam-do. In 2022, he established the franchise corporation Pompoco, which today has 81 franchise restaurants. He also launched Yakiniku Lu in Suwon, a Yakiniku restaurant with unlimited refills for two hours, which is currently extremely popular. The menu consists of Australian Wagyu which is imported directly from DIAMANTINA and Rangers Velley with the partnership.
