Kim Yoon-Hye, owner-chef and Sichuan cuisine researcher, runs La La Guan, a Sichuan-style hot pot restaurant. Her passion for Chinese food began as a college exchange student in Beijing, where she discovered its incredible diversity. Fascinated by Sichuan’s bold flavours and spices, she later trained at a culinary school in Sichuan. During her studies, she developed a love for Chinese lamb dishes, inspiring her to create Mala Hot Pot using lamb shabu-shabu. Today, La La Guan is a beloved brand, and Kim aims to introduce Korean consumers to Chinese lamb culture in creative, modern ways.
