Head ChefRichard hails from a Peranakan Malacca family, where his culinary journey began with a fusion of Malay, Chinese, and Western flavours. Inspired by his mother’s traditional home cooking, he developed a passion for creating dishes that celebrate heritage and innovation. He refined his skills during seven years at The Majestic Hotel by YTL Group before becoming a private chef. Richard has had the honour of serving the Royal Family of Malaysia, as well as His Majesty the King and Queen of Sweden, the Saudi royal family, and members of the British royal family. Today, Richard crafts distinctive fusion cuisine, blending Peranakan traditions with Japanese influences to deliver unique culinary experiences. Guided by his favourite phrase, “Where there is love, nothing is too much trouble and there is always time,” his creations reflect both artistry and heartfelt dedication.
