After 12 years working as a fashion model both domestically and internationally, Mai Sawaki transitioned to become a wine specialist.
She was awarded the title of Chevalier (Knight) by the world's most prestigious wine organisation, the Chevalerie de Champagne, and the title of Sommelier d'Honneur (Honorary Sommelier) by the Japan Sommelier Association.
While operating the food-themed website “Taberuno”, she proposes new-generation home cooking to enjoy with wine through cooking classes at her own studio and cookbooks.
The cooking programmes she planned and starred in, “Sawaki Mai's Delicious Time” and “Sawaki Mai's Tomorrow's Recipe”, achieved high ratings across various networks.
