Koji Azuma

After training with Akasaka Ishingo Group, he became head chef at Shimbashi Bifun Azuma in 2006 and earned sommelier certification in 2009, later teaching at Ginza’s Academy du Vin. In 2011, he opened Chi-Fu and Az/Bifun Azuma in Osaka, with Chi-Fu earning a Michelin star in 2013. In 2014, he made history as the first Japanese chef to place third at the World Chinese Culinary Championship in Taiwan. His culinary creations range from imperial “Chinese chimaki” to modern Chinese cuisine, and he has produced notable concepts including Toranomon Hills Café. He currently appears on the TV show Magical Restaurant HERO’s Recipe.
