Kazuhiro Kikuchi is the founder and Chairperson (Representative) of the Hitsuji Kajiri Association, a consumer group for sheep meat. To create an environment where amateurs can enjoy delicious and fun sheep meat dishes, the association organises monthly events, Hitsuji(Lamb) Festivals and other innovative events to promote sheep meat. The monthly events have been fully booked for two consecutive years. Tickets for 100 seats sell out within three hours, reflecting the association's membership of ardent “lamb lovers”.
Membership stands at approx. 2,000 primarily within Tokyo, expanding by dozens each month. Activities extend widely, including overseeing Japan's first lamb meat restaurant guidebook, “Tokyo Lamb Story”.
